When the grayness of winter leaves me uninspired or there’s not enough time to get outside, there’s always the “backyard” – a patch of woods thick with native plants just outside the windows.
And if that’s not enough on its own, then it’s time to play with the camera and see what happens.
Dwelling in.
(the world)
Indwelling.

I love the quality of the greens in these pictures Lynne, I like the fact that they’re not so vibrant and much more understated. As you’ve proved, we should never let the weather hold us back..! š

Greens here can get really, really – well, intense! They call Seattle the Emerald City. Sometimes it’s too much. Fog is so poetic, isn’t it?

Gorgeous winter shots Lyn, as though you have turned the grey drizzle into soft comforting rainbows.

There’s a lovely dreamy sparkle behind these nebulous pictures Lynne . How nice to find such a *playground* just outside your windows š

Dreamy is the thing sometimes. The view is dense and it took a while before I got used to “seeing” it – moving here from NYC, where the view was immensely different, I just couldn’t get a handle on it. It slowly, slowly crept into me and I think I can appreciate it better now, thus am able to play with it more successfully.

Beautiful abstract images, Lynn; I especially like the 4th one – very much like a dreamy watercolor.

Thank you – or it could be a pastel, right? I was thinking as I processed these how much faster it is to do than it would be to do with watercolor or pastel. Fast isn’t necessarily good, but it sure fits the modern lifestyle.

Beautiful! Your shots are like paintings, so effective. I see you use your Winter hibernation time very creatively.

I love these shades of greens. They lessen the strength of grey.

There’s a lot of blue in these greens, too – maybe that adds to the peaceful effect. Thank you for your thoughts!
