Ah, how peaceful. I love the Buddha. I have an old concrete one in my garden. He’s been sitting there for many years. I’ve grown attached to him in some inexplicable way. I feel peaceful when I see him. I like the poem very much too. A wonderful post, Lynn!
Thank you! I have a small concrete one too, and I love to see them outside after a lot of weathering. It’s always sweet when birds perch on their heads or knees. Visiting a Zen monastery in CA many years ago, my 2 yr old son spontaneously went up to a garden Buddha and kissed it. You and he would agree on the good vibes, as do I of course.
Beautifully photographed and written ~ just like a good Buddha should, sit until the color disappears and only the shadow remains. Brilliant. 🙂
