My mind-eye swirls and swivels, twists,
zeroes in,
rests
for a heartbeat or two, maybe a breath…
then it’s off again, connecting dots that
you may not have seen.
So here, just take a look,
(I would not ask you to follow).
Let your mouth corners turn up
or down,
brows arch or furrow,
in front of the
bright screen, in that far away place
where you are.
We’ve connected.
I’m totally puggled Lynn … but yes … we are connected π
Love that folded paper mountain !

Puggled…OK….I’m going to assume it’s a good thing! The paper mountain was actually plastic, part of a tarp blown off someone’s garden. I’m glad you like that one; I’m always concerned that it’s a stretch, with photos like that.

Nice to hear your comment about light, which you are so good at seeing and conveying.

A super marriage between poetic expression and pictures (especially the last two images). I relate to this experience totally and have never seen it described so perfectly.

Wow, thank you so much. I think many of us visually oriented people feel that constant shift and dart of the eyes and attention.

I like the map, upside down, with rivers and lakes – oh, where have we been from decade to decade, all those summers and falls, need a map too…

Lovely to hear from you…oh the stories maps of our summers could tell.

Great post.
What is it that gives the mind’s eye the ability to connect dots which we are outwardly not able to?

Imagination I suppose, and also practice…and a willingness to live outside the box!

Great poetry and words… The last photo is great, there is always a feeling of repression when I meet with such shots; powerful image.

Thank you – Seattle has many small alleys behind its main streets, and though the stench can be rough, it’s often worth it to walk through them. Glad you liked the words too –
