December.
Retreat.
Curling inward…
darkness.
Winter solstice…pulling
downward.
Stillness…
quiet.

Taken on Christmas Day, 2013, at Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland, WA.Β The Olympic Mountains are just visible above the trees in the last shot.
nice pictures… but what especially moved me this time, was the shot of the bay. Wishing you a beautiful new year.

And to you Shimon, I wish a New Year full of contentment, good health, great photographic opportunities, and just enough aggravation to keep you going! It was a silvery moment on the bay…

Yep, that last image really did it for me, too. But then I’m a sucker for any kind of water scene.. π

It’s blowing a hooligan here at the minute, Lynn, but your photos are the essence of tranquility, and very beautiful. Happy 2014 to you!

A hooligan?? We don’t get many of those here. The weather, like many of the people, is quite well behaved in Seattle. Happy 2014 to you too!

As always Lynn I love your images and words! I am making a gallery wall in the family room as part of my multi-month long remodeling project and I just HAVE to have a photo of yours for the wall. Can I please?!? May I have permission to print out an image and include in the gallery? If yes, then well, the next hurdle is deciding which one. Oh my. Maybe I will need your permission to print two instead, or maybe three…. π

Ah, flattery is a good thing! I will “back channel” you, OK? Interesting that you’re willing to say multi-month, but you ain’t going to say year-long! π

Okay, you called me on it, multi-YEAR is truly the most accurate description but, well, hesitated on fessing up to that. But sincere about the gallery wall. I even got a mat cutter this week, so that along with my miter saw, well I am going to do some serious frame making! π
