Over at A Word in Your Ear, a wide-ranging travel and photography blog on WordPress, “Skinnywench” has challenged bloggers to do a riff on hats.
Here are a few I have seen:
In a clothing store window in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
A tourist in New York City poses with a mime.
A Whirling Dervish at a Turkish Festival in Manhattan.
A couple “happily” awaits friends (or maybe family?) at an airport in Florida in January.
Caught on the fly with my phone, a man takes his cat for a stroll in Manhattan.
The original challenge can be found at A Word in Your Ear.
Reblogged this on A Word in Your Ear and commented:

I’m not entirely sure it’s a lucky cat…we’ll just hope so.

I was amazed at that window – nothing tongue-in-cheek, just the straight merch!

Love the hats. I would say, my favorite for creativeness and fashion statement was the cat. He reminds me of Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss.

Very imaginative. The guy in the last photo can’t feel very comfortable – he has very little hair and a stiff neck!!

What a great set of photos! Love the double Statue of Liberty but especially the Whirling Dervish – what a beautiful expression on his face.

Thank you. I wish I had been able to get better photos of the Whirling Dervish – there were two – a young man and an older man. It was wonderful to watch. If you ever have the chance…

Is this how Dr. Seuss came up with the book “Cat in the Hat”. Funny Funny, Great photo.
