From the solidly comforting planes of an old church to the soft radial symmetry of a flower, geometry takes many forms.
from Wikipedia: Geometry (Ancient Greek: γεωμετρία; geo- “earth”, -metron “measurement”) is a branch of mathematics concerned with questions of shape, size, relative position of figures, and the properties of space.
we’re on the same wavelength today…. 🙂

Thank you for the comment & the link – you have an interesting perspective on the challenge. Composition is something I struggle with, so again, thanks beaucoup!

I agree – for a long time I didn’t do anything with the photo because of the power lines (I can get rid of them but it takes time). Then I looked again & thought they were OK. In a way, it’s a more typical scene with them! And then I turned around and decided to remove them in the Take two close-up. ; )

Awesome job! I really like your Geometry 2 where you cropped the pics too! My favorite is the old church and the focus on the steeple and its shape. Again great job! I love photography but have never challenged myself with any of the daily post things… Im still fairly new to wordpress so may be I will have to try it some time!

I’m pretty new here, too (but not to photography). You should go for it. Personally, I like something to work off of – an imposed limitation – it makes me stretch to see things differently in order to find a “solution”. Thank you so much for the comments. (Right about now I feel about as crooked as that little steeple, looking like it could topple in the next big wind).

I can relate to that feeling!! Your not alone in feeling that way! Its definitely what we do with that feeling that you can control and affect…. It may take some time but the process is so worth it!
